Glycosaminoglycan derived from queen Bombus ignitus inhibits in vivo abdominal fat accumulation during a high fat diet, reduces a cholesterol content, and reduces free fatty acid in plasma. Activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) in plasma is extended, so blood coagulation is prevented and adhesion protein-related laminin existing in a hemangioendothelial part is inhibited. In addition, damage to the protein of blood globulin is inhibited, and lipoperoxide accumulation (MDA amount) of liver cells is inhibited. Moreover, when being seen at a cell level, nitric oxide (NO) is generated in hemangioendothelial cells to ensure vasorelaxation. Furthermore, it has been able to be confirmed that rise of blood pressure caused by a high fat diet can be prevented after the glycosaminoglycan has been administrated to a rat for a month.
