<;P>;PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and effective poison-removing method of paralytic shellfish poisons, from aquatic organisms as food and a feed raw material, especially filter feeder such as bivalve. <;P>;SOLUTION: This poison-removing method comprises removing paralytic shellfish poison component which has a sulfate ester group on 11 level from fresh shellfish by feeding to fresh shellfish, feed which contains a total of 1.5-40 wt.% (dry weight) of protein or peptide which has cysteine or cystine as the constituent amino acid, preferably feather meal which has keratin as the main ingredient. Alternatively, the poison-removing method comprises removing paralytic shellfish poison component which does not have a sulfate ester group on 11 level by decomposition by a polyphenol solution, preferably, a solution which contains tannic acid, ellagic acid, chlorogenic acid, coumarin, catechin, gallic acid, propyl gallate or pyrogallol, or by polyphenol-containing food such as apple, tomato, tea, wine, and grape juice. <;P>;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
