A public first-aid apparatus includes an automated external defibrillator (AED) device and an indicating device arranged close to the AED device. The indicating device includes an indicating placard, a security module, a transmission unit, an alarm unit, and a lighting unit. The security module, the transmission unit, the alarm unit, and the lighting unit are installed in the indicating placard. The security module has at least one sensor for sensing the environment outside the indicating placard. The transmission unit and the alarm unit are electrically connected to the security module. The transmission unit is provided for electrically connected to a controlled center, thereby transmitting a signal emitted from the security module to the controlled center. The alarm unit has a buzzer for emitting warning sound out of the indicating placard. The lighting unit is configured to selectively light for highlighting an indicating unit of the indicating placard.
