PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of generating, from calculation images, an image in which the tissue of a suppression target is suppressed in a more appropriate manner.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus according to an embodiment includes a first generation unit and a second generation unit. The first generation unit generates a first calculation image and a second calculation image with lower signal values for tissue not targeted for suppression compared with the first calculation image, by calculation using data obtained by imaging to collect magnetic resonance signals for derivation of tissue quantitative values.
