PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmologic apparatus capable of preventing an ocular characteristic measurement part from coming into contact with a subjects eye even when any problem occurs in detection in an optical axis direction.SOLUTION: An ophthalmologic apparatus 10 includes an ocular characteristic measurement part (20) to measure eye characteristics of a subjects eye E. The ophthalmologic apparatus 10 includes a drive part 12 to move the ocular characteristic measurement part with respect to the subjects eye E and a control part 33 to control the ocular characteristic measurement part and the drive part 12. The ocular characteristic measurement part includes an observation optical system (21) to obtain an image of an anterior eye part of the subjects eye E. The control part 33 moves the ocular characteristic measurement part toward the subjects eye E while obtaining a feature quantity of the subjects eye E in the image of the anterior eye part obtained by the observation optical system.
