A guiding and anti-backlash structure is providing for connecting a wheelchair and a control stem of the wheelchair. The guiding and anti-backlash structure includes a set of mounting frame disposed on a front portion of the wheelchair and a concave portion defined in the set of mounting frame. A rod is mounted onto the control stem. The rod is selectively and detachably engaged to the concave portion such that the control stem is pivotal relative to the mounting frame.
