Specifically, the present invention relates to an attenuated strain of a porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (accession number: KCTC 12886BP), a vaccine composition and a vaccine comprising the same, a dispenser to administer the vaccine to a pig, a kit comprising the same and a composition for preventing a porcine epidemic diarrhea virus infection, and a method for inducing a protective immune response against the porcine epidemic diarrhea. The live attenuated vaccine and the inactivated vaccine of the present invention are superior in safety and immunogenicity compared to conventional vaccines and are more effective in preventing infections of new strains caused by the genetic variations of the porcine epidemic diarrhea virus, and thus can be used for the purposes of preventing infections of porcine epidemic diarrhea and inducing protective immune responses.
