The present invention relates to an intranasal pharmaceutical compositions generally comprising benzodiazepine and a method for using the same providing treatment effect without reduction of blood pressure and or pulse after administration of the pharmaceutical compositions. Specifically the pharmaceutical compositions comprise: about 1-15 wt% of benzodiazepine or pharmaceutically acceptable salts of the same； about 43-55 wt% of glycol ether； about 16-18 wt% of at least one fatty acid ester； about 22-25 wt% of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone； about 1-5 wt% of water； and about 5-10 wt% of ethanol.
