1. The method of fumigation of the soil, including: the introduction of a fumigant, comprising at least one volatile substance inside the soil or on the surface of the soil； and coating the soil with a multilayer polymer film that at least partially contains a fumigant； in which the film includes a PVDC barrier layer, a first protective layer on the first side of the PVDC barrier layer and a second protective layer on the second side of the PVDC barrier layer； and wherein the PVDC barrier layer comprises at least one interpolymer of alkyl acrylate and vinylidene chloride； and wherein the barrier layer is less than about 10% of the thickness of the multilayer polymer film. The method according to claim 1, wherein the volatile substance is selected from the group consisting of methyl bromide, chloropicrin, 1,3-dichloro-1-propene (cis), 1,3-dichloro-1-propene (trans), methyl isothiocyanate, metham- sodium, methyl iodide, sulfuryl fluoride, dimethyl bromide, dimethyl disulfide, potassium metam, dazomete, 1,1,1-trifluoro-2,6-dinitro-N, N-dipropyl-p-toluidine, 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and mixtures thereof. 3 . The method according to claim 1, wherein the volatile substance is selected from the group consisting of methyl bromide, chloropicrin, 1,3-dichloro-1-propene, methyl isothiocyanate, methyl iodide, sulfuryl fluoride, dimethyldisulfide and mixtures thereof. The method according to claim 1, wherein the acrylate is selected from the group consisting of methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, propyl acrylate, butyl acrylate, and combinations thereof.
