The wetting sensor includes a olfactory signal device that generates a smell or odor when body fluids are detected. For example, in one embodiment, the odorous composition may be contained in a hydrolyzable pouch that releases the odorous composition upon contact with moisture. Once released, the odorous composition can produce the desired odor. In another embodiment, the odorous composition may be encapsulated in a water-degradable material or coated on a substrate. The odor or odor emitted by the odorous composition may vary depending on the particular application. For example, fragrance can be pleasant or unpleasant.
