The present invention provides a pancreastatin inhibitor (PSTi8) useful for the management or prevention and/or treatment of various medical indications associated with insulin dependent or independent diseases or syndromes or disorders preferably in the prevention or treatment of insulin dependent or independent diseases or syndromes or disorders caused in human and animals. The present invention further provides a method of treating diabetes by administering the pharmaceutical composition comprising PSTi8 by intravenous, subcutaneous, intra-peritoneal, intramuscular or other route.
