The novel herbicidally active compound combinations comprising (a) anarylsulphonylaminocarbonyltriazolinone of the formula (I)(see formula I)(in which R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each as defined in the description) and/or asalt of acompound of the formula (1) (= "active compound of Group 1") and (b) one ormorecompounds from a second group of certain known herbicides (= "active compoundofGroup 2") exhibit at certain weight ratios synergistic effects and can beemployed asselective herbicides in various crops of useful plants；typical examples are active compound combinations from the Na salts of thecompoundsof the formula (I) where R1 = CH3, R2 = OC3H7, R3 = COOCH3 and R4 = H(I-1) orwhereR1 = CH3, R2 = OCH3, R3 = OCF3 and R4 = H(I-2) as active compound of Group 1.
