PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alga proofing material excellent in safety and capable of obtaining growth suppressing effect or attachment suppressing effect on algae for a long period not only in a poor nutritional environment such as a treated service water or rainwater but also in a eutrophic environment such as a sewage level and good in cleaning property even when algae are attached.SOLUTION: The material is the one in which a first layer containing a titanium oxide material is formed on the surface of a basic material and a second layer comprising a tin oxide is formed thereon. The alga proofing material is characterized in that second layer has fine holes and the fine holes pass through the surface of the second layer to the surface of the first layer.COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO【課題】 安全性に優れ、上水処理水や雨水などの貧栄養環境ばかりでなく、下水処理水レベルの富栄養環境でも長期に亘り藻類の繁殖抑制効果や付着抑制効果が得られ、さらには藻類が付着した場合でも清掃性に優れた防藻材の提供。【解決手段】 基材表面に酸化チタン材料を含有する第一層が形成されており、さらにその上には酸化スズ材料からなる第二層が形成されている材料であって、前記第二層が微細孔を有し、その微細孔が第二層表面から第一層表面まで連通していることを特徴とする防藻材。
