PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a risk of overturn has to be eliminated or reduced for a user of a wheelchair or a helper concerning an operation to open/close a foot placement base in transferring between the wheelchair and a chair or a bed.SOLUTION: A wheelchair includes: a seat part where an occupant is seated a foot placement base for placing feet of the occupant and wheels for traveling. The seat part includes: a base and a seat arranged on the upper side of the base. The seat is constituted to be slidable by a slide mechanism with respect to the base. The foot placement base and the seat are constituted so as to allow the foot placement base to move backward along with the forward movement of the seat by a link mechanism. First links and second links are arranged to the right and left in front and rear parts.
