A dry powder inhaler is disclosed that consists of a reusable base unit and a disposable medication package. The reusable portion can house a transducer, a controller, a battery and a user interface. The disposable portion may receive the dose pellets in a sealed dose chamber having an integrated mouthpiece. The user can couple the disposable portion to the reusable portion of the inhaler.
