PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus surely and quickly inserting an endoscope to a target site.
SOLUTION: This endoscope apparatus is provided with: a virtual image generation means for generating a virtual image of a body cavity pathway inside a subject based on image data of a three-dimensional region of the subject a guide image generation means for generating the guide image of a branch part of the body cavity pathway based on the virtual image and an image composition means superimposedly displaying the endoscopic image of the body cavity pathway and the guide image of a next branch part of the body cavity pathway in the periphery side of an imaging position of the endoscopic image, wherein the guide image is one or more images selected from the virtual endoscopic image 6d, a virtual endoscopic schema image, a moving-directional display image and a template image 6T.
