The present invention relates to novel S-allyl cysteine derivatives, and a pharmaceutical composition and a functional health food composition containing the same for preventing or treating Alzheimer&primes. According to the present invention, the S-allyl cysteine derivatives show inhibition activity against acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BuChE), thereby being effective in preventing or treating Alzheimer&primes. Especially, S-allyl cysteine derivatives of the present invention have selectively inhibition activity of BuChE among cholinesterase (ChE).
