The present invention provides a method for preparing a natural HA (HA) complex and a reconstituted HA complex containing heavy chain 1 (HCl) of pteractacin-3 (PTX3) and an inter alpha inhibitor (IaI). Compositions containing the complexes and methods of treatment using the complexes are also provided.
