A system and method for monitoring a patient in a particular condition by using a kit having a monitoring device for the particular condition and a corresponding memory device. The system includes a health monitor and a plurality of monitoring devices for obtaining patient health data. The kit further includes one or more monitoring devices, such as a pulse oximeter, blood pressure monitor, thermometer, EEG and ECG leads, blood glucose meter, and other health monitoring devices for conditions specific to the kit.
