An extract is an extract which is soluble in water, a lower alcohol of carbon number 1 to 4 or their mixed solvent. An extract is contained as 0.1 - 50 weight% about a total weight of composition.본 발명은 DS의 복합생약추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 조성물에 관한 것으로 피부 미백용 건강기능식품으로 유용하게 이용될 수 있다. 상세하게는 본 발명의 DS 복합생약추출물은 멜라닌 생성 억제 효과, 티로시나제 활성 억제 효과 및 TRP-1, TRP-2, 티로시나제, PKC-β, MITF 유전자의 발현 억제 효과를 나타내므로 피부 미백 및 주름 개선용 건강기능식품으로 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.
