PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: derivatized polysaccharide-protein conjugates； a composition comprising one or more of such derivatized polysaccharide-protein conjugates； and methods of immunizing human patients with the same.SOLUTION: The derivatized polysaccharide-protein conjugates are purified capsular polysaccharides from Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A, C, W-135, and Y, derivatized, chemically activated, and selectively attached to a carrier protein by means of a covalent chemical bond, forming polysaccharide-protein conjugates capable of eliciting long-lasting immunity to a variety of N. meningitidis strains.【課題】本発明は、誘導体化多糖－タンパク質複合体、そのような誘導体化多糖－タンパク質の１つ以上を含む組成物、およびそれを用いてヒト患者を免疫化する方法を記載する。【解決手段】誘導体化多糖タンパク質複合体は、誘導体化され化学的に活性化されおよび共有化学結合によって選択的にキャリヤータンパク質へ結合された髄膜炎菌血清群Ａ、Ｃ、Ｗ－１３５、およびＹ由来精製莢膜多糖であり、さまざまな髄膜炎菌株に対する長期免疫を誘導する能力がある多糖－タンパク質複合体を形成する。【選択図】なし
