A metal detection and artifact reduction method for a computerized tomography scan image is mainly executed by a computer. The metal detection and artifact reduction method comprises the steps of: (A) acquiring a computerized tomography scan image (B) performing a metal detection process (C) performing a Radom transform process to acquire projection data (D) performing a linear interpolation process and a weighted interpolation process (E) performing a back-projection imaging process (F) building a preprocessing image (G) building a merged image and (H) backfilling the metal part to the merged image. That is, in the above-mentioned steps, the metal detection process is first performed and then the image is transformed into the projection data or the projection data is transformed to the image by the relationship of the Radom transform and the back-projection imaging meanwhile, the image is subject to binarization by a threshold value so that the metal part can be separated therefrom, the image and the metal part are additionally treated by a separation process, and then the images are merged and the metal part is backfilled to the merged image. Accordingly, efficacies of metal detection and artifact reduction can be attained.一種電腦斷層掃瞄影像之金屬偵測及偽影消除方法,主要係藉由一電腦來執行,該方法包含有下列步驟:A) 取得電腦斷層掃瞄影像;B) 金屬偵測;C) 雷登轉換取得投影數據;D) 線性插補及權重性插補;E) 反投影成像;F) 建立預處理影像;G) 建立融合影像;以及H)對融合影像回填金屬部分。上述步驟主要係先進行金屬偵測,再利用雷登轉換及反投影成像的關係來將影像轉為投影數據或將投影數據轉為影像,並利用一閥值將影像二值化以分離出金屬的部分,而將影像與金屬部分加以分離處理,之後再進行影像的融合,並回填金屬部分後,即可獲得偵測金屬以及偽影消除的效果。
