PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cosmetics or skin external preparations in which coloring with heat or time is suppressed, in cosmetics or skin external preparations containing tranexamic acid or a derivative thereof or a salt thereof and a reducing sugar.SOLUTION: A cosmetic or skin external preparation containing the following components (A) to (C) as essential components is used. The cosmetic or skin external preparation of the present invention can reduce the concern of coloring when tranexamic acid and reducing sugar are used in combination. (A) Tranexamic acid or a derivative thereof or a salt thereof. (B) Reducing sugar or derivatives thereof.
