PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of reducing insertion resistance when placing a button type gastrostomy catheter in gastrostomy or exchanging the gastrostomy catheter, and capable of facilitating air-supply control of an endoscope to stabilize the endoscopic visual field in the course of operation.SOLUTION: A sheath 1 for gastrostoma includes a sheath body 11, into which a gastrostomy catheter 2 is inserted, and a handle 12. The sheath 1 for gastrostoma is preliminarily inserted into a fistula when inserting the gastrostomy catheter 2 to the fistula and placing it in the body to thereby reduce the resistance against the insertion of the gastrostomy catheter 2.
