PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and reliably sterilize the inside of a space by irradiation with ultraviolet.
SOLUTION: The ultraviolet sterilizer includes: a light source 1 for condensing the ultraviolet light in a beam form so as to emit the light a first hollow tube 16 for introducing the emitted ultraviolet light a first reflection member 21 for perpendicularly reflecting the ultraviolet light passing through the first hollow tube 16 first rotary driving mechanisms 12, 13, 14 for rotating the first reflection member 21 around the longitudinal axis of the first hollow tube 16 a second hollow tube 22 through which the ultraviolet light reflected by the first reflection member 21 passes a second reflection member 27 for perpendicularly reflecting the ultraviolet light passing through the second hollow tube 22 second rotary driving mechanisms 19, 23 for driving the second reflection member 27 to be revolved around the longitudinal axis of the first hollow tube 16 while being rotated around the longitudinal axis of the second hollow tube 22 and an emitting part 28 for emitting the ultraviolet light reflected by the second reflection member 27. The first rotary driving mechanism 12, 13, 14 and the second rotary driving mechanisms 19, 23 are operated thereby to perform scanning the inside of a predetermined space with the use of the ultraviolet light.
