PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an obesity-preventing agent in which in vivo lipid metabolism is improved and accumulated fat is actively decreased and body weight is healthfully decreased.SOLUTION: The obesity-preventing agent comprises a plant body of a cruciferous plant, e.g. Japanese horseradish, preferably a leaf of Japanese horseradish or an extract obtained by carrying out pulverizing treatment and grinding-down treatment of the cruciferous plant, extraction treatment of the cruciferous plant with a solvent and drying treatment of the cruciferous plant alone or in combination thereof as an active ingredient.
