<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet sterilizer capable of reducing the cost and the ventilation resistance by reducing the quantity of use of expensive ultraviolet shading members, and to provide an air cleaner using the same. <；P>；SOLUTION: A case 9 constituting the ultraviolet sterilizer 8 is divided into three sections in the left/right directions: an ultraviolet lamp storage part 9a, a main sterilization chamber 9c, and a subordinate sterilization chamber 9b. The ultraviolet lamp storage part 9a for storing an ultraviolet lamp 11 in the longitudinal direction is disposed on one side of the three-divided case. The main sterilization chamber 9c with a number of oval through holes 10 bored in the front/rear faces is formed to project in the front/rear directions on the other side. The subordinate sterilization chamber 9b with a passage whose width is narrow and ultraviolet shading members 12a and 12b mounted on the front and rear faces is disposed between the ultraviolet lamp storage part 9a and the main sterilization chamber 9c. <；P>；COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
