The invention relates to a lancing system for collecting samples of a bodyliquidhaving a receptacle for accommodating a lancet supply strip (5) with aplurality oflancets (6), arranged transversely to the lengthwise direction of the lancetsupplystrip (5), a feed mechanism for transporting a lancet supply strip (5), placedin thereceptacle, to move the lancets (6) of the lancet supply strip (5) one afterthe otherto a puncturing position, and a lancing drive for causing a lancet (6), whichoccupiesa puncturing position, to perform a puncturing movement. The lancing systemis characterized by a bending mechanism (10) for bending a section of thelancetsupply strip (5) in lengthwise direction of the lancet supply strip (5) andfor therebyseparating a lancet tip (6a) of a lancet (6) from the lancet supply strip (5)for apuncturing action.
