The ultrasonic 3D image reconstruction method may include forming, from data of ultrasound plane waves transmitted from a plurality of directions, a two-dimensional (2D) image having various directivities in a frequency space forming 3D image data by applying a back-projection scheme to data of the 2D image and reconstructing a 3D image by performing an inverse fast Fourier transformation (IFFT) on the 3D image data.
