PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weed control material and its usage, the material that has a short cure time, has high Initial strength development, has freeze-thaw resistance and cracking resistivity, and thereby can reduce labor of mowing and is suitable for persistence of weed control.SOLUTION: (1) A weed control material is formed which contains an alkaline stimulation material and one or two or more kinds of aggregate with sizes of 0.1-50 mm selected from incineration ash, slag, coal ash and volcanic ash. (2) Further, the weed control material of (1) is formed by containing one or more kinds of cement and soil. (3) The weed control material of (1) or (2) is provided in which the alkaline stimulation materials are alkali metals. (4) The usage of the weed control material is provided in which any weed control material of (1) to (3) is spread on the ground and water is sprinkled thereon and coated.
