PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marine algae adhesion promotion member which has flexibility and a reduced weight per unit area and prevents the marine alga adhered thereto from being eaten by Echinus Strongylocentrotus Hemicentrotus, an ear shell, Omphalius pfeifferi or the like. SOLUTION: The adhesion member is composed by forming a plurality of wires 3 comprising polylactic acid on one surface 14 of a flexible screen sheet substrate 2 made of polylactic acid in such a manner that the ends of the wires 3 protrude from the surface 14. The thickness D1 of each wire is in the range of 100 d to 5 mm??(outside diameter), and its height H is in the range of 1 to 30 mm??. The distance L1 between any two wires is in the range of 3-30 mm. When fertilized eggs and zoospores adhere to the substrate, it can nurse them into marine algae seedlings. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
