The present invention related to a composition comprising an aqueous soluble-chitosan and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Said composition can be used to increase the 排糞率 of an individual. Together with the well known biocompatibility of chitosan, the present invention proves that the aqueous soluble-chitosan may be a potential candidate for enhancing intestinal metabolism.本發明關於一種組合物，其包含一水溶性甲殼素及一醫藥可接受之載劑。前述組合物可用於增加一個體的排糞率。配合甲殼素已知的生物相容性特徵，本發明證實前述水溶性甲殼素有潛力作為加強腸道代謝的候選物。
