The present invention relates to a nitrate coating composition for the reduction of methane gas in a rumen of ruminant animals, and a production method of the same. The nitrate coating composition includes soybean protein powder, nitrate, oils, and a stabilizer, thereby inhibiting the generation of methane gas inside a rumen； and does not generate nitrite, which is a toxic substance generated from using uncoated nitrate.본 발명은 반추동물의 반추위 내 메탄저감을 위한 질산염 코팅 조성물 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것으로 대두단백질 분말, 질산염, 오일류 및 안정제를 포함함으로써, 반추위 내 메탄가스 생성을 억제하며 코팅되지 않은 질산염을 사용함으로써 발생되는 독성물질인 아질산염을 생성시키지 않는다.
