With the preservation of freshly extracted roe bags of sturgeon for subsequent harvesting and caviar production of roe, the preservation uses oil derived from roe bag membranes that are normally discarded in conventional caviar production. The preservation may allow fish pouches containing fish that have been farmed or derived from wild sturgeon to be stored and transported for export consideration.
