<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virus strain with a genome type of 1b, infecting a cell line, having a high level of the proliferation ability and infecting an experimental animal. <；P>；SOLUTION: An RNA is separated and purified from a serum of a patient developing serious acute hepatitis C, and a cDNA is prepared by using the RNA as a template. Thereby, a clone having the full-length nucleic acid sequence with the genotype belonging to 1b is obtained.
