PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diffuser used by removing a plug body without requiring excessive operations.
SOLUTION: The diffuser includes: an outer cylindrical body 1 having an upper end opening 1a, and disposed to be attachable to/detachable from a container filled with a content such as fragrance an inner cylindrical body 2 fixedly retained at the mouth part 3 of the container while being integrally connected with the inside of the outer cylindrical body 1 a lid body 5 movable up-and-down along the guides 6a and 6b of the outer cylindrical body 1 while opening and closing the upper end opening 1a of the outer cylindrical body 1 a diffusing body 7 connectively retained inside the lid body 5 and a wick 9 disposed at the mouth part 3 of the container in a manner capable of projecting out, which absorbs the content within the container to supply the absorbed content to the vaporizing body 7. At the mouth part 3 of the container, a cover cap 12 is provided which covers over the wick 9 before unsealing the container to prevent the wick from coming into contact with the diffusing body 7, while exposing the wick 9 from the mouth part 3 when tearing off of the plug body 12b following the pulling of a pull-ring 12c, so that the wick can be brought into contact with the vaporizing body 7.
