The present invention relates to an injection assembly for injecting a suspension, in particular a homogeneous suspension containing radioactive particles, into a medical device, such as a catheter, a syringe or a needle, the injection assembly comprising a support and a housing attached to the support. The housing is configured to hold a transporting vial containing a suspension or radioactive particles and to hold an injecting member configured to withdraw the suspension from the transporting vial and/or to inject the suspension into the medical device. The injecting member is operable from outside the housing. Further, the housing is moveable between a first condition in which the injecting member is in fluid communication to the transporting vial to withdraw the suspension from the vial, and a second condition in which the injecting member is in fluid communication to the medical device to inject the suspension into the medical device.
