A surgical suture thread comprises of nanotechnology product with high potent of antibacterial and anti fungal activity. Cocoons of silkworm filament were obtained from Bombyx mori which is greenish yellow colour. The greenish yellow colour of silk filament reacts with silver nitrate to form brownish yellow colour at 85 °C for 90 min. The brownish yellow colour of the silk filament indicates the formation and impregnation of silver nanoparticles over the silk filament.
