The present invention relates to an additive for sunscreen product, comprising between 50 and 80 wt% of melanin, 15 to 30 wt% of carotenoids, and 5 to 20 wt% of bivalent manganese compound as well as a sunscreen product containing the aforementioned additive. As such, the additive of the present invention can not only effectively improve the blocking ability of the sunscreen product against UVA and UVB in ultraviolet, but also enable the sunscreen product to have excellent ability for blocking UVC in ultraviolet. Preferably, the melanin is extracted from black sesame seeds, the carotenoids is a substance selected from groups composed of lycopene and &bgr-Carotene, and the divalent manganese compound is a compound selected from divalent manganese fluoride, manganese chloride, manganese perchlorate, manganese nitrate, manganese carbonate, and manganese hydroxide.本發明有關於一種防曬品用添加劑,其包括有50至80 wt%的黑色素、15至30 wt%的類胡蘿蔔素、以及5至20 wt%的二價錳化合物;以及一種包含有前述添加劑的防曬品。藉此,本發明添加劑能有效提高該防曬品對紫外線中UVA與UVB的阻擋能力,且能使該防曬品對紫外線中的UVC具有極佳的阻擋能力。
