This invention discloses a respiratory signal capturing method and a capturing apparatus thereof. The respiratory signal capturing method comprises the following steps: firstly, capturing a three-axis acceleration signal by utilizing a three-axis acceleration sensor at a fixed time period then, performing multivariate empirical mode decomposition to the three-axis acceleration signal to obtain a plurality of intrinsic mode functions in order and finally, sequentially calculating an average inclination angle of the three-axis acceleration signal corresponding to each of the intrinsic mode functions, and when the average inclination angle is within a preset angle range, adding the corresponding intrinsic mode function in a set until the quantity of the intrinsic mode functions in the set is equal to a natural number of a default, then, adding all the intrinsic mode functions in the set as a respiratory signal and outputting the respiratory signal. This invention automatically obtains the respiratory signal under the premise that knowing a spectrum characteristic of the signal in advance and manual intervention are not needed.本發明係揭露一種呼吸訊號擷取方法及其擷取裝置,首先,利用一三軸加速度感測器以一固定時段擷取一三軸加速度訊號。接著,對三軸加速度訊號執行多變量經驗模態拆解,以依序得到複數個本質模態函數。最後,依序計算每一本質模態函數對應之三軸加速度訊號之平均傾角,並在平均傾角在一預設角度範圍中時,將對應之本質模態函數加入至一集合中,直到集合中的本質模態函數之數量等於作為一預設值之自然數時,將集合中所有本質模態函數相加為一呼吸訊號並輸出之。本發明在不需要事先瞭解訊號頻譜特徵及人工介入之前提下,自動取得呼吸訊號。
