PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inhibiting dental caries safer and more effective than before by controlling the formation of a biofilm formed by germs causing dental caries, not by controlling germs causing dental caries, since by the method for inhibiting dental caries using a conventional antimicrobial agent, an enzyme inhibitor or an antibiotic, a polysaccharide outside of cells hinders the penetration of an antimicrobial agent, an enzyme inhibitor, an antibiotic and the like, the desired effect for inhibiting dental caries is difficult to obtain and the use of the antimicrobial agent and the like gives a high risk of appearance of resistant bacteria, therefore is not preferable.SOLUTION: In a composition, a substance which controls quorum sensing of Streptococcus mutans controlled by CSP is incorporated.
