PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a funnel-shaped separating implement manufactured in expensively and easily and easily performing operation in which a subject is caused to discharge the bited-off pieces of a material for chewing performance measurement, having been chewed for a fixed time by the subject in a chewing performance measurement method, and the saliva together and the bited-off pieces of the material for chewing performance measurement and the saliva are separated.SOLUTION: The funnel-shaped separating implement 1 by which the subject is caused to discharge the bited-off pieces of the material for chewing performance measurement, which has been chewed for the fixed time by the subject, and the saliva together and the bited-off pieces and the saliva are separated is formed of a thermoplastic synthetic resin net sheet formed to be conical when used and in which warp yarns and weft yarns are fused at the intersection parts thereof. End edge parts 1a and 1a to abut on each other when formed to be conical are respectively provided with tongue pieces 1b and 1b having a trapezoidal or nearly trapezoidal shape each shorter in the end edge part side and longer in the side distant from the end edge parts 1a and 1a, at predetermined intervals.
