PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental measurement apparatus that automatically determines the degree of the progression of dental caries and initial dental caries, because the conventional apparatus detecting a fluorescent beam generated by irradiating the teeth with an excitation beam can hardly diagnose the degree of the progression of the dental caries and the initial dental caries, though the conventional apparatus can identify the dental caries, dental calculus, plaque or bacterial infection.SOLUTION: The dental measurement apparatus includes: a signal acquiring means for a one-dimensional OCT signal directed in a depth direction from surfaces of the teeth a detection means for a signal intensity peak position, corresponding to the surfaces of the teeth, of the OCT signal a means for automatically classifying the signal intensity distribution of the OCT signal depending on the degree of the progression of the dental caries and a means for indicating a classified value classified depending on the degree of the progression of the dental caries.
