The present invention relates to a method and composition for generating a non-naturally occurring intron and its components capable of being processed into small hairpin RNA (shRNA) and/or mircroRNA (miRNA) molecules by skin cells and thus inducing specific gene silencing effects on skin pigment-related genes and/or aging-causing gene in the cells. The gene silencing effects so obtained are not only useful for lightening and whitening skin colors but also useful for suppressing unwanted aging gene activities in skins.本發明係關於一種方法及成分,該方法用來產生一非天然產生之內含子,而其成分於皮膚細胞能經由剪接分解而成小夾核醣核酸(small hairpin RNA,shRNA)或是微核醣核酸(microRNA,miRNA)對於細胞之特定基因誘發基因靜默效果,特別是對於皮膚色素相關基因以及皮膚老化基因。該基因靜默效果不只對膚色美白有效也對於皮膚細胞抑制老化基因也具有成效。
