A semiochemical composition comprising a sea lice copepodits attachment inhibiting semiochemical comprising a synthesized palmitoleic acid, salts thereof, derivatives thereof, isomers thereof and/or structural analogs thereof and/or mixtures thereof and an acceptable vehicle is described. Also described are methods to treat sea lice comprising administering to fish in need of such treatment a semiochemical composition comprising a sea lice attachment inhibiting semiochemical comprising a synthesized palmitoleic acid, salts thereof, derivatives thereof, isomers thereof and/or structural analogs thereof and/or mixtures thereof and an acceptable vehicle.La présente invention concerne une composition sémiochimique comprenant un produit sémiochimique inhibant la fixation de copépodes de type poux du poisson comprenant un acide palmitoléique synthétisé, ses sels, ses dérivés, ses isomères et/ou ses analogues structuraux et/ou leurs mélanges et un excipient acceptable. L'invention concerne également des méthodes permettant de traiter les poux du poisson consistant à administrer à des poissons ayant besoin d'un tel traitement une composition sémiochimique comprenant un produit sémiochimique inhibant la fixation de poux du poisson comprenant un acide palmitoléique synthétisé, ses sels, ses dérivés, ses isomères et/ou ses analogues structuraux et/ou leurs mélanges et un excipient acceptable.
