The invention relates to new compounds of formula (I), in which X, Q, R6, R7 and n have the meanings indicated in the claims, agrochemical formulations containing the compounds according to formula (I) and their use as acaricides and/or insecticides for the control of animal pests. The examples inter alia disclose 2-[2-phenyl-l-(sulfonyl-methyl)vinyl]-imidazo-[4,5-b] pyridine derivatives, corresponding benzimidazole derivatives, corresponding sulfanyl derivatives and sulfinyl derivatives and other related compounds.
