Provided is an aerosol device comprising a container with an opening at one end, a valve assembly supported within the container, and sealing means for providing a seal between the valve assembly and the container, and a cap member for retaining the valve assembly in the container, said cap member being separate from said sealing means wherein said seal is provided between the outside of the valve assembly and the inside of the container and the cap member is secured to the outside of the container. The sealing may be made by crimping or by snap-fitting.
