PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing cheese with a tasty substance added that can surely prevent delamination even if cheese curd with the tasty substance sandwiched in a layer state is cut along a laminating direction.SOLUTION: The cheese curd is cut along a cutting face 2C extending over two faces which are a horizontal cutting face 2C1 cut into a predetermined depth from the outer peripheral surface of the cheese curd, and a cylindrical vertical cutting face 2C2 continuous with the inner peripheral edge of the horizontal cutting face 2C1. The tasty substance 2D is sandwiched between the layers of the obtained upper side cheese curd 2A and lower side cheese curd 2B to obtain laminated cheese curd 2. Portion cheese 3 is obtained by cutting the laminated cheese curd 2 with a cheese cutting apparatus 1 having radial cutting edges 20.
