The animal toy also includes a barrier shell concealed within the first internal volume of the outer shell, the barrier shell defining a second interior volume therewithin, the barrier shell comprised of a moisture barrier that prevents moisture from passing from the outer shell into the second interior volume. Still further, the animal toy comprises a plurality of capsules contained within the second interior volume of the barrier shell, that are water-dissolvable.
