PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe, where it is possible to notify the operator of reduced battery remaining quantity of the ultrasonic probe during wireless information communications between an ultrasonic probe and an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus.
SOLUTION: The ultrasonic probe includes a signal processor to generate a transmission signal by the processing of received signals outputted from a plurality of ultrasonic transducers, a wireless communicator to transmit a transmission signal through wireless communications, a battery to supply electric power to various probe parts, a battery remaining quantity detector to detect the remaining battery quantity, and a control part that controls the wireless communicator in the manner that the communicator transmits a first notice signal when the battery remaining quantity reduces below the first threshold value on the basis of detection results for the remaining battery quantity, and transmits a second notice signal when the battery remaining quantity further reduces below a second threshold value smaller than the first, and stops the transmission of transmission signals.
